Our client approached us looking to transform their home with a full rear extension and a complete loft conversion. Their goal was to create more living space, improve functionality, and increase the overall value of their property. They wanted a modern, open‑plan layout downstairs and a new master bedroom with an en‑suite in the loft.
Scope of Work
Design & Planning
We worked closely with the client and their architect to refine the design, ensuring the new spaces flowed naturally with the existing structure. Our team handled building control liaison, structural calculations, and all required approvals. The design focused on maximising natural light and creating a seamless indoor‑outdoor connection.
Construction
The project began with groundworks and steel installation for the rear extension. Once the structure was complete, we installed a modern kitchen, underfloor heating, and large bi‑fold doors leading to the garden.
At the same time, our loft team constructed a full‑width dormer, adding significant head height and usable space. A bespoke staircase was fitted to integrate the new floor smoothly with the rest of the home. The loft was finished with a spacious master bedroom, built‑in storage, and a contemporary en‑suite bathroom.
Throughout the build, we maintained a clean site, provided weekly progress updates, and ensured minimal disruption to the client’s daily routine.
Final Result
The completed project delivered a stunning transformation. The rear extension created a bright, open‑plan living area perfect for family life and entertaining. The loft conversion added a luxurious master suite, giving the client the extra space they needed without moving home.
The property now benefits from:
